Growth Rocket prides itself in investing heavily on our team— From making sure our team members have everything they need to deliver brilliance through our work to arming them with the training, knowledge and thought leadership to keep them consistently on top of their game—Growth Rocket does it all and we are all aware of how lucky we are to be working with some of the best talents in the industry in a very forward-thinking, progressive, nurturing and supportive environment.
Sadly, not everyone is as lucky as we are. In fact, some people’s chances are taken away very early on in their lives.
Child trafficking and exploitation is an increasing risk to children around the world. As we write this, 215 million children are currently engaged in child labor, 115 million of which are engaged in hazardous work. Some children are commercially exploited sexually or are forced to pick up arms for wars they don’t even know why they’re fighting. These children are kept in slave-like conditions without proper food, shelter, clothing and oftentimes cut-off from all contact with their families
At Growth Rocket, these are issues very close to our hearts. As a global team, a number of us reside in countries where these atrocities continue to happen every day and in plain sight; countries where governments more often than not choose to turn a blind eye and where impoverished families are helpless in preventing these from happening to their children.
It’s easy to feel helpless given how governments and the international community treat these issues but we believe that if are to rid the world of this brutality, we all have to take the first step in making thing better no matter how small we think it is.
For Growth Rocket, that first step is sponsoring a child in the Philippines via SaveTheChildren.org
Save the Children provides children with a healthy start, ensuring that mothers and families have access to lifesaving health and nutrition services and practices. They also prepare children for future success by providing a strong foundation for their formal education. Save The Children addresses the needs of youth so they can actively contribute to their own well-being and the community overall.
Aside from a direct sponsorship, Growth Rocket is also making a donation to Save The Children which would go to their Children’s Health & Nutrition, Education, Emergency Response, Feeding and Advocacy programs.
If you wish to sponsor a child or donate to Save The Children, you can do so by visiting their site.
